Backblaze is a publicly traded (NASDAQ: BLZE) cloud storage company based in San Mateo, California, with two flagship products that appeal to very different buyer sets. Computer Backup is the consumer and small-business product: unlimited backup for a single Mac or PC at USD 9 per month (USD 99 per year, USD 189 for two years), with a set-and-forget agent, versioning, and the ability to order a USB drive of a full restore. It has been one of the benchmark recommendations in cloud backup reviews for more than a decade because of the flat unlimited pricing.

B2 Cloud Storage is Backblaze's S3-compatible object storage platform, sold at USD 6 per TB per month for standard storage with 3x free egress and USD 0.01 per GB for additional egress. B2 is a price-aggressive alternative to AWS S3, Azure Blob, and Google Cloud Storage and is widely used for Veeam and MSP backup targets, media archive, app storage via Cloudflare's free Bandwidth Alliance egress, and surveillance footage. Affiliate content typically covers Computer Backup against Carbonite, IDrive, and Acronis, and B2 against Wasabi and S3. Both products share a single affiliate payout rail, which lets creators cover two categories (consumer backup and developer object storage) from one program.

Backblaze runs the affiliate program in-house rather than through CJ, Impact, or ShareASale. Publishers apply through the Backblaze Partner Portal at partnerportal.backblaze.com/prm/English/s/applicant; approval typically takes a few business days after a site review. Approved partners get tracked links, banners, and a dashboard with real-time click and conversion reporting, plus seasonal promo creatives (free-trial extensions, end-of-year discounts). Reporting and payouts all live inside Backblaze's own partner system.

The payout is 10% recurring commission on referred customer spend, paid for the lifetime of the customer's paid license rather than a fixed 12-month window, across both Computer Backup and B2. The click-to-signup cookie is 30 days. Commissions accrue monthly and pay out via PayPal once a publisher's balance crosses the USD 100 minimum threshold; smaller balances roll over. Backblaze locks commissions after the customer's first paid month to filter out trials and chargebacks. Self-referrals, coupon-driven traffic, and trademark-bidding in paid search are excluded under the Partner Program terms, and tax paperwork (W-8 or W-9) is required before the first payout.
