Lessonface is a New York-based marketplace for live, one-on-one online lessons in music, acting, voice, dance, visual art, and languages. It was founded in 2012 and today lists thousands of independent teachers covering guitar, piano, violin, drums, singing, songwriting, music theory, music production, acting, accent reduction, Spanish, French, Mandarin, ASL, and dozens of other subjects. Lessons happen over Lessonface's in-browser video platform (no Zoom account required), with scheduling, payment, rescheduling, and messaging handled inside the site. Students can book single trial lessons starting around USD 20-40, ongoing weekly packages, structured multi-week courses, or small group classes; teachers set their own rates and keep the bulk of the fee.

The audience skews toward adult hobbyists picking up an instrument again, parents booking music or language tutors for kids, and performers prepping for auditions or exams. The payout is 5% of a referred student's completed lesson, class, or course bookings on Lessonface, capped at USD 100 per referred user. Only bookings by the referred student count — referring yourself, or referring students to your own teaching profile, is excluded under the Community Share Program terms. Earnings accrue monthly and are paid via PayPal by the 15th of the following month once the balance reaches at least USD 25; anything below the threshold rolls forward. Because the program is direct, Lessonface handles tax documentation and payout rails itself rather than routing through an affiliate network.
