Lookout started as a mobile security pioneer in 2007 and today operates across two distinct product lines. The enterprise business (sold to Bitglass-era buyers and carriers) focuses on Mobile Endpoint Security, Secure Service Edge (SSE), and data-centric cloud security for regulated organizations. The consumer business is Lookout Life, a paid subscription mobile security app for iPhone and Android that covers phishing and scam-link protection, public Wi-Fi security with built-in VPN, identity-theft monitoring (dark-web scanning, SSN and credit-card exposure alerts, up to USD 1 million identity-theft insurance in higher tiers), device theft alerts, and secure backup for contacts and photos. Plans run from a free tier to Premium and Premium Plus at roughly USD 3-10 per month depending on features and term length.

In 2024 F-Secure acquired Lookout's consumer business, and the Lookout Life product is now operated alongside F-Secure Total under the same corporate umbrella, which is why the published affiliate-program page at lookout.com/life/partners/affiliates and F-Secure's partner program share program mechanics. Typical buyers are non-technical mobile users, families, and small-office users who want a single app to cover phishing, identity, and public Wi-Fi risks without configuring separate VPN, password-manager, and credit-monitoring products. Content creators covering mobile security, online safety for seniors, travel Wi-Fi, and identity-theft prevention are the natural fit for the affiliate offer.

The Lookout Life affiliate program is run in-house by Lookout (now under F-Secure) via the partner page at lookout.com/life/partners/affiliates, with mechanics aligned to F-Secure's wider affiliate program. Publishers apply through the signup form, provide website and audience details, and once approved get a tracking link, promo banners, and a reporting dashboard. Approval is typically fast for content sites with clear mobile-security, identity-theft, or online-safety relevance; general coupon and cashback sites are less likely to be accepted.

Payout is commission-based, with public F-Secure/Lookout listings citing up to 30% of the new subscriber's first paid term and a cookie window of around 30 days. Only new paid Lookout Life signups count — free-tier installs and renewals of existing subscribers do not pay. Commissions are validated after the customer clears any free-trial and refund window, then paid monthly via PayPal or bank transfer; F-Secure does not publish a hard minimum payout threshold. Self-signups, incentive traffic, and coupon-site stuffing are excluded.
