Sesame Care is a US healthcare marketplace launched in 2019 that lets patients book cash-pay doctor visits directly, bypassing health insurance to keep the sticker price visible before booking. Typical visit prices start around USD 34 for general virtual urgent care, USD 29 for acute prescription refills, and USD 79 and up for mental-health sessions; specialist and in-person visits are priced by each provider on the platform. Categories include 24/7 virtual urgent care, primary care, mental health (therapy and psychiatry), dermatology, men's and women's health, weight loss with GLP-1 evaluation, and labs. Providers set their own rates, patients pay upfront, and Sesame takes a margin rather than billing insurance.

The buyer is usually uninsured, high-deductible, or shopping outside their plan because a cash price beats their in-network copay after the deductible math. Sesame Plus, the paid membership at USD 10.99 per month or USD 99 per year, takes USD 10 off each visit. The brand positions itself against Teladoc, HealthTap, Amazon Clinic, and in-store CVS MinuteClinic on transparent upfront pricing and same-day availability. Content angles that work include cash-pay vs insurance comparisons, GLP-1 weight-loss intake walkthroughs, urgent-care alternatives for families without employer coverage, and telehealth round-ups for freelancers. US-only right now: patients need to be inside one of the 50 states plus DC, and providers are licensed state by state.

Sesame Care's affiliate program runs on Impact (impact.com). Publishers apply through the Impact marketplace or via sesamecare.com/affiliate-program, which redirects into the Impact application. Sesame's partnerships team reviews audience, traffic mix, and compliance (healthcare content has stricter review than typical retail), then approves publishers with access to banners, tracked links, category-specific deeplinks (telehealth, mental health, GLP-1), and seasonal promo codes through the Impact dashboard. A refer-a-patient customer program is separate and pays in Sesame credit rather than cash.

Commission is CPA-based, paid per completed consultation booked and attended: publicly cited rates land around USD 10 to USD 20 per booking, with some partners negotiating higher rates for mental-health or specialty funnels where per-visit ticket size is larger. Cookie duration is 30 days from click. Impact validates commissions on its standard monthly locking cycle so that cancellations and no-shows can back out before payout, then pays on the monthly Impact cycle via ACH, PayPal, wire, or check with the USD 10 default minimum. Excluded traffic includes self-bookings, incentivized clicks, and paid-search bidding on the Sesame trademark per Impact's standard brand agreement.
