TaxAct

TaxAct is a tax-preparation product for people who want guided filing without always paying for a full-service preparer. Individual filers can choose Free, Deluxe, Premier, and Self-Employed paths, while business owners and professional preparers have separate TaxAct routes. The product speaks to taxpayers comparing price, form coverage, expert access, and filing confidence, especially readers with home ownership, childcare, investments, rental income, gig work, or small-business returns.

The product is useful when a filer knows they can do much of the return themselves but wants a structured path through forms and deductions. A student or W-2 employee may check whether the free option covers their situation; an investor may compare Premier for stock, crypto, or property sales; and a freelancer may need Schedule C support plus optional help from a credentialed expert. TaxAct also gives publishers comparison angles around flat seasonal offers, downloadable software, audit defense, refund advance, and its Taxwell family of tax brands.

TaxAct's official affiliate overview routes publishers through Commission Junction, now CJ Affiliate. A publisher first applies to CJ, then applies to the TaxAct program, reviews the CJ network agreement and TaxAct program terms, and waits for the CJ-managed approval decision. Once accepted, the publisher receives access to links, creatives, reporting, and the tools needed to promote TaxAct from their site.

TaxAct's public page says incentives are tied to registrations and orders after a referred visitor clicks a TaxAct tracking link, but it does not publish the current rate card, cookie duration, payout threshold, or payment rail on the open page. TaxAct says additional compensation details are provided to qualified affiliates through CJ's registration process. CJ's publisher materials support direct deposit and Payoneer, with payment periods around the 20th and 28th after commissions lock and close.
